Recently i’ve been working on the redesigns of several WordPress based sites with a variety of topics. This particular project involved updating the site to a more modern theme, reorganizing the content, consolidating much of the navigation structure and integrating new features for SEO and social networking.

The site contains a huge amount of reference data, external links and resources. To assist in the sharing of the content I integrated WordPress’ Jetpack services that allowed us to:

1. provide ability for visitors to subscribe to posts
2. provide ability to post simultaneously on Twitter and Facebook
3. provide ability for visitors to ‘share’ content to major social networks
4. track traffic patterns

The makeover included adding in some new SEO capabilities and site performance enhancements.
