SimcoMedia has worked with X-Cart users over the past 4 years providing customization of the cart’s themes and templates. The newest version of X-Cart comes with a dozen skins that were previously available for additional cost. We modify existing skins or create new customs skins for X-Cart. These templates provide some alternative choices for the X-Cart owners regarding the display of their store. However, these skins are limited in their themes and further enhancement is needed in order to reflect the nature of your products or service.
Custom Skins
X-Cart utilizes a combination of CSS and HTML to acheive its layout and styling. Custom skins can be created utilizing the Smarty template system (included with Xcart) coupled with custom graphics and color schemes. The standard skins shipped with X-Cart are best viewed as a starting point for layout and styling and should not be considered as the final solution to your design needs.
